It is used for the treatment of essential hypertension. The fixed-dose combination is used for patients whose blood pressure cannot be effectively controlled by irbesartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone.
- Irbesartan:It is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the angiotensin II type 1 receptor, thereby relaxing blood vessels and reducing blood pressure.
- Hydrochlorothiazide:It is a diuretic that acts on the distal convoluted tubule of the kidney to inhibit the reabsorption of sodium and chloride ions, increasing urine output and reducing blood volume, thus achieving the effect of reducing blood pressure. The combination of the two has a synergistic antihypertensive effect.
Take 1 tablet once a day, either on an empty stomach or with a meal, for patients whose blood pressure cannot be effectively controlled by taking irbesartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone.
